Sunday brunch with Bees Deluxe

23 August @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Free

Bees Deluxe, Boston’s acclaimed British/American modern blues band semi-finalist at The International Blues Challenge held in Memphis 2026, and winners of the 2025 New Hampshire State Blues Challenge.

Bees Deluxe play innovative originals with bold reinterpretations of songs by Billie Holiday, B.B. King, Etta James, Otis Rush, Billie Holiday, Burt Bacharach, Joe Zawinul and other musical icons. The result is a sound that’s deeply rooted in tradition yet thrillingly unpredictable, described by Blues Blast Magazine as “what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo.”

Founded by British guitarist Conrad Warre, whose career spans collaborations with Joe Jackson, The English Beat, and performances in legendary London venues, the band also features Carol Band, a classically trained pianist turned powerhouse harmonica player and songwriter. Bees Deluxe has toured from Maine to Miami, sharing stages with Ronnie Earl, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Walter Trout, Matt Schofield, Mike Zito, Roomful of Blues, and other top-tier artists.

Their last album “Hallucinate” gathered critical praise in both the United States, and in Europe including the comment “The music, for me, has the same impact that Steely Dan did with their first couple of albums. They play very tight Blues that sounds as though they are jamming but this is very tight, and the playing is absolutely superb.” — from Andy Snipper, Music News.
