Italy Calls the World: 25 countries dialogue near the new New Museum.

21 June @ 6:00 pm - 24 June @ 12:00 pm
Free

From June 21 to 24, 2026, the prestigious Fridman Gallery in New York’s Lower East Side will host a collaborative exhibition of visual arts and poetry, coinciding with the historic reopening of the New Museum.

NEW YORK – Art is the universal language of the soul, an invisible thread capable of erasing all distances. In this spirit, “Italy Calls the World” was born—an exhibition curated by Francesca Callipari (Art Curator and Art Advisor) that transforms the Fridman Gallery into a crossroads of visions and identities. In a fragmented era, Italy—the historic cradle of beauty—”calls upon” international talents to build a collective narrative, turning the exhibition into a powerful message of unity and brotherhood.

A Strategic Position in the Heart of the Art District
Located at 169 Bowery, Fridman Gallery is situated just steps away from the New Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition takes place at a pivotal moment: the reopening of the New Museum (following its two-year expansion) is set to attract a global influx of collectors, critics, and curators, making the Bowery the worldwide epicenter of new artistic narratives.

In this context, the exhibition is more than just a show; it is a strategic positioning. Here, the works engage with a sophisticated audience, becoming part of a global aesthetic conversation.

The Protagonists and the “Feed Your Soul” Project
The event will be further enriched by the FEED YOUR SOUL project, dedicated to Poetry, offering a unique experience of spiritual nourishment. In this space, poetry is not viewed as a commodity to be owned, but as a living medium: the works of selected poets will be printed and distributed free of charge to visitors, transforming reading into an essential act of sharing and generosity within the gallery ecosystem.

Each selected work, from painting to poetry, represents a piece of a larger mosaic. As highlighted by the curator, this is a mapping of contemporary creativity that proves beauty remains the only force capable of generating a sense of global community.
