Del Patio De Mi Titi – Solo Exhbition by Beatriz Williams

20 April @ 10:00 am - 21 April @ 7:00 am

“Del Patio De Mi Titi” (From My Aunt’s Backyard) is a solo exhibition by Beatriz Williams. This body of work serves as an avenue of connection to her birthplace, Puerto Rico. Beatriz examines Puerto Rico’s natural world, re-situating herself within the realm of its distant familiarities. The work is imbued with a sense of personal nostalgia for a place the painter simultaneously experiences in fragments and calls home. Interwoven portraiture and landscape highlight an ancestral connection accessible through the land itself. The work dissolves a perceived separation between human being and Mother Earth – a reminder of the oneness of all creation.
